Keone Holt

Head Chef

Born in Honolulu, raised in Petaluma, and shaped by the vibrant energy of Los Angeles, my journey has always centered around food, community, and connection. I trained at Los Angeles Trade-Tech Community College, but my passion for cooking started long before that—rooted in the idea that a shared meal is one of the simplest yet most powerful ways to care for others.

Working in the mental health and recovery field allows me to be part of the solution, to contribute to raising collective consciousness in a meaningful way. Food is more than sustenance; it’s a source of security, structure, and comfort. Knowing that I can help provide that for clients—ensuring they always have a nourishing meal to look forward to—is deeply rewarding.

For my own well-being, I focus on balance. I surround myself with people who restore my mana, take intentional alone time to recharge, and, most importantly, turn off my notifications when I’m off the clock! My guiding philosophy is rooted in the Hawaiian saying:
“‘Ike aku, ‘ike mai, kokua aku, kokua mai; pela iho la ka nohana ‘ohana.”
(Recognize others, be recognized, help others, be helped; such is a family relationship.)

If I had to listen to one song on repeat for 24 hours? Either Fly Like a Bird by Mariah Carey or Fastlove Pt. 1 by George Michael—both give me life in different ways.

For anyone thinking about coming to Breathe, I’d say this: You are worth the investment to heal and recover. It’s not just about treatment—it’s about reclaiming the life you deserve.

When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll probably find me outdoors, deep in a queer fantasy or sci-fi novel, or dancing in the dark with my besties. And if you ever need a movie recommendation, I’m an AMC A-List regular—let’s talk cinema!
