Some moments in life define us. For me, it was the realization that a single yes—a willingness to receive help—can be the turning point in someone’s journey. That yes is where transformation begins, and supporting people in reaching that moment is the greatest use of my time, talent, and life that I can imagine.
Breathe Life Healing Centers was born from the belief that healing should be accessible, profound, and lasting. I’ve had the privilege of building a team that is more than the sum of its parts—an extraordinary group of people dedicated to guiding those who have been marginalized, overlooked, or deeply wounded by addiction, trauma, and mental health struggles. Being part of this mission, watching lives rebuild and hope rekindle, is the most rewarding work I have ever known.
For me, self-care is about movement and stillness, connection and solitude. It’s found in exercise, in the loving chaos of my dogs Henry Jones Johnson and Billie Goat the Dog, in the pursuit of higher consciousness, and in giving back through 12-step fellowship. It’s in books, in deep sleep, and in the company of those who love me as I am.
I’ve always believed that NO is a conversation starter—that challenge and resistance can open doors to understanding and growth. And if you’re considering coming to Breathe, I’d say this: Lean in. Say yes to yourself. Reclaim the parts of you that have been lost or forgotten. Breathe is more than a place; it’s a family, a sanctuary, and a chance to heal in ways you never thought possible.
And if you ever find me lost in thought with a song playing on repeat, it’s probably The Queen and the Soldier by Suzanne Vega—a reminder that every journey, every struggle, and every transformation has its own rhythm.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me reading, laughing from my toes, and soaking in the joy of life with family and friends. Because at the end of the day, healing isn’t just about recovery—it’s about truly living.
